DR. SAMUELS + STAFF = BETTER REASONS

"Dr. Samuels and her staff are the 'Gold Standard' in Pediatric Care. The office strikes a perfect balance of thorough care without tons of unnecessary testing. Plus, they are ultra caring & compassionate and very, VERY patient. I can't recommend them highly enough!"

LA SHARON SAMUELS, MD, FAAP

I knew that I was going to be a Pediatrician since I was 8 years old. Stuffed animals, dolls and friends became my make-believe patients.  They may have come to me crying, but everyone always left with a smile! The passion I possessed at a young age has stayed with me to present. I have a genuine love for children and a strong desire to protect and nurture their childhood.  These characteristics have led me to become the Pediatrician that I am today.

I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. I then pursued my medical career through attending Medical School at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and was awarded my Medical Doctorate Degree in 1996.

It was during my Pediatric Residency at Children's Hospital of Michigan that I focused my talents specifically on Pediatric Care. I specialize in Well Child Care, Child Development, pediatric asthma and allergies, and management of Childhood Obesity.

I enjoy a myriad of activities with my husband and two wonderful sons. We love to meet new people, travel and experience different cultures. As a result, I speak some French and Korean. We have settled in Michigan and are very involved in our local community. We enjoy the beautiful summers spending lots of time riding bikes, swimming and exploring state parks and trails. If you see me on the bike path, please wave!

I look forward to meeting you and helping care for your precious children as they grow.

ELIZABETH JOHNSON, DO

Dr. Elizabeth Johnson hails from sunny Virginia Beach, Virginia. She’s a great fit for our

“Beach House” office because, as she says, “I am a beach girl!”

Dr. Johnson began her medical career at the University of Virginia (Wahoowa!) where she graduated in 2009. Her medical studies carried her to The City of Brotherly Love - Philadelphia! She attended and graduated from Drexel University. After receiving her Graduate Degree, she went on to complete the Medical Program at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Johnson then came to our beloved Detroit, completing her Pediatric Residency through

Authority Health-Michigan State University located at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

Dr. Johnson says, "When I’m asked why I went into pediatrics, it’s like asking ‘Why did you put the round peg into the round hole?’ Because it just fits! Pediatrics is an absolute fit for me. I have always been around kids, and I’ve always loved working with children.”

We are excited to welcome Dr. Elizabeth Johnson to the family of Country Creek Pediatrics!

PATIENT CENTERED MEDICAL HOME

What is a Patient Centered Medical Home?

The American Academy of Pediatrics states that a Pediatric Medical Home shall:

  • Provide medical care of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults and should be accessible, continuous, comprehensive, family-centered, coordinated, compassionate, and culturally effective.

  • Deliver health care services by well-trained providers who help to manage and facilitate all aspects of pediatric care.

  • Assure the provider be known to the child and family, and be able to develop a partnership of mutual responsibility and trust.

Country Creek Pediatrics is proud to have been awarded the honor of being a Patient Centered Medical Home.
